Two preview singles from one of my all-time favorite dacing with tears in my eyes-acts. TR/ST’s music gets more polished with every release, a frequent development for many acts, which is regrettable. While the beautiful bones and Robert Alfons‘ incredible voice are all still there – but the existential rawness of earlier releases has been sanded down. Still, awesome music for nights lost on the dancefloor or lost at the desk.

Sitting with a new TR/ST record called Performance, and Robert Alfons‘ back catalogue. Still affected by the easy theatric darkness, so beautiful and forlorn, and forever intertwined with a time, a vibe in my life. A wistful summer spent between cities, memories of silent fast trains at night, hurling me across senseless shadowlands. The memories loom like towering unreachable cityscapes, afar and mythical, but still visible. My life a curved line through the shadowlands of contingencies, the roads not taken, refuges for nights like these.
