Being the first person at Piscinas das Marés to disturb the pool’s perfect surface amidst the turmoil that is the atlantic ocean is a primal joy. One slips in softly, gliding between natural and synthetic stone; all boundaries seem to become suggestions immediately. The beauty of being in this pool is to enjoy immense freedom in a confined space. Its configuration mirrors life itself: The endless joy of ambition and thought, within the reassurance of a clear, if non-linear, coordinate system. All is blurred, therefore all is possible. Today, I am guest 000628 for the season.
