We have come full circle. Appropriation and re-contextualisation in popular culture has eclipsed real-time. There is no way of telling simulacra from the efforts they are referencing. The distinction between wave and particle is impossible, and more importantly: irrelevant. Authenticity is over. The distribution and critique systems of music and pop culture are over. Shared subcultural expectations are over. Neither expect a system, nor a name and a website. Everything must be examined following art’s operational difference: Is it interesting? The discourse of taste has become ubiquitous, and our nonlinear, non-ontological scientific education proves worthwhile.
